Wei Guoliang Recognized as “Highly Cited Researcher 2019”

On November 19th, Clarivate Analytics released its 2019 list of “Highly Cited Researchers”, including 6216 “highly cited researchers” from nearly 60 countries and 636 from the Chinese mainland. Prof Wei Guoliang from the College of Science of USST was first selected into the interdisciplinary field. In the highly anticipated list, all published papers with high citation frequency in the top 1% of their subjects demonstrated the significant academic influence of these researchers.
Wei Guoliang, Professor of the College of Science of USST, Doctoral Supervisor, New Era Excellent Talents of the Ministry of Education and German Humboldt Scholar. In recent years, a series of achievements have been made in industrial complex system control and filtering, network control and signal processing, sensor network filtering, moving objects location, robots control, visual optimization, big data and AI algorithms. He has presided over 3 projects of the National Nature Science Foundation of China. More than 100 academic papers have been published in journals such as Automatica, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, IEEE Transactions on Circuit and Systems, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, and Systems and Control Letters, among which 19 papers are highly cited. He served as a commentator of American Mathematical Reviews, deputy editor of international SCI journal Neurocomputing, director of Shanghai Automation Society.
”Highly cited researchers” were chosen by Biblio-metrological experts in Clarivate Analytics by analyzing  the citation data of such 21 disciplinary branches as natural science and social science from data base Web of Science. The list announced these researchers with the most highly-cited papers in all areas, meaning that they gained the greatest recognition in terms of their citation influences.
