Visit to USST by Academician Zhang Xu and his Colleagues

On March 10th, Academician Zhang Xu, together with his six colleagues from Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Branch, paid a visit to USST. President Ding Xiaodong attended the welcome seminar, and chief administrators from Graduate School, Science and Technology Administration and Collaborative Innovative Research institute of USST were also present at the meeting
During the meeting, on behalf of USST, Ding Xiaodong extended warm welcome to the visitors from Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Branch, and presented a brief introduction about the university history, high-level university construction program and medical-engineering interdisciplinary education. Academician Zhang also presented a sketchy introduction about scientific research and graduate education of Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Branch.
Both sides engaged in detailed talk in discipline construction, graduate student education and scientific research and exchanged their ideas on supervisor recruitment, student admission, syllabus management and joint program in graduate student education.  
Vice president Liu Ping expressed his gratitude for the strong supports from Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Branch and hoped that both sides could take this opportunity to solidify the strategic cooperation, construct a long-term mechanism to promote academic research, boost academic capabilities of graduate students and achieve mutual development.
