Before students returned to school campus, the Smart Campus Construction Promotion Office of our university decided to develop the “Guidance System for Public Places” to achieve precise prevention and control through data analysis. The relevant departments of our university worked together overtime to test the functions of this “artifact”, including the purchase of equipment, platform construction, interface design and volunteer training, and finally launched it within 2 weeks. This system brings together the opening hours, actual visitors flow rate and maximum capacity of various public places, such as libraries, canteens, gymnasiums, bathhouses, and classrooms, and updates the data in real time, which is expected to help the university to fully understand whether there is sufficient open room, and make prompt adjustments about the campus management decisions during the epidemic prevention and control period and the post-epidemic period.
Today, many intelligent sensing devices are distributed in teaching buildings, gymnasiums, bathhouses and other places. The library and most canteens use the existing door entry system and consumption data of one card pass system respectively to record the personnel access. Due to the large flow of people, the 1st canteen is equipped with the Face Recognition System Terminal. The camera can automatically collect the students’ access information, which avoids the problem of queuing in line when swiping the card on the POS terminal. The data of visitors’ flow rate in all these places are collected and uploaded to an integration and processing platform called “Data Center”. The data platform sorts out and integrates these scattered data, then pushes them to the big data visual analysis platform, and finally displays them in different screen terminals.
At present, USST has launched the integration portal of the “Integrated Online Platform”. Teachers and students can find this “public guidance” app through WeLink, the integration portal in mobile terminal.
