As one of the representative fields for developing new quality productivity, humanoid robots are expected to become disruptive products after computers, smartphones, and new energy vehicles, profoundly transforming human’s ways of life and production and reshaping the global industrial development. In order to better test the reliability, safety, and durability of humanoid robots in real scenarios, accelerate the promotion of humanoid robots to participate in social and production scenarios such as disaster rescue, long-distance inspection, special dangerous operations, and intelligent manufacturing, the world's first humanoid robot half-marathon competition was launched in Beijing on April 19th. Professor Li Qingdu of our university led the independently- developed Xingzhe No.2 robot by Shanghai Zhuoyide Robot Co., Ltd. to perform exceptionally well in the competition and achieve the third place.
