A Visit Paid by Piura University of Peru to USST

On May 16, Susana Vegas, Vice President of Piura University of Peru, visited our university. USST Vice President Cai Yonglian met with the guests, accompanied by relevant personnel from the International Affairs Office.
On behalf of USST, Cai Yonglian welcomed Susana Vegas and her delegation, and introduced USST's history, disciplinary characteristics, talent cultivation and international exchanges. She said that the university attaches great importance to international exchanges and cooperation, and hoped that the two universities can integrate advantageous resources, starting from student exchanges, mutual visits of teachers and project cooperation, to seek a point of convergence and realize win-win development. Meanwhile, students from Confucius Institute of Piura University are welcome to study at USST.
Suzanne Vegas expressed her gratitude for the hospitality of USST. She briefly introduced the basic situation of Piura University's disciplinary development, university running characteristics, etc. She proposed that Piura University paid great attention to the establishment of cooperative partnership with Chinese universities, and hoped this visit can actively promote the exchange and cooperation between teachers and students with USST.
During the visit, the delegation also visited the professional laboratories of School of Mechanical Engineering, Nanophotonics Laboratory and Optofluidics Laboratory of School of Optoelectronics, and had a discussion with the directors of the relevant colleges and schools on possible areas of cooperation in the future.
