Main Achievements:
He used to be a senior engineer of electro-mechanical equipment and director of engineering technology department of a large company. He has been engaging in teaching and scientific research in rehabilitation engineering, medical equipment and other fields for a long time. He has presided over or participated in more than 40 scientific research projects, published more than 130 academic papers in academic journals at home and abroad, authorized more than 100
patents, and edited and published 5 academic books, and presided over the development of many innovative rehabilitation engineering products and technologies. Also, he presided over the development of many innovative rehabilitation engineering products and technologies at home and abroad. As the principal responsible person, he founded the first education program of
rehabilitation engineering technology in China.
As chief expert, he completed the government and industry advisory reports on the rehabilitation devices roadmap of Shanghai, the rehabilitation robot roadmap of Shanghai, research on the development status and experience of the international assistive products industry by the Ministry of civil affairs, etc. He co-organized the Asia's most influential rehabilitation engineering conference i-CREATe 2010 in China, initiated the China's first International Convention on Rehabilitation Medical Engineering and the First China (Shanghai) Forum on Assistive Device Technology and Industrial Development, and initiated and co-founded the China's first rehabilitation engineering magazine of International Rehabilitation Engineering and Devices(IRED).

Now SERCAD has a team of 23 persons, including 6 professors, 8 associate professors, 8 assistant professors and one 1 lab technician. This wonderful team has developed a series of innovative rehabilitation devices and technologies. It has applied more than 100 patents of invention, such as the upper limb rehabilitation robots, intelligent nursing bed, intelligent electric wheelchairs, intelligent functional electrical stimulation system and upper limb prosthesis with dynamic electrical control technology. Over 60 have been authorized. The total amount of patent transfer has been over tens of millions of RMB, which tops us among research institutions.
