Laboratory

There are seven sets of equipment in the laboratory: four location refrigerator lab, 3HP Enthalpy Difference Laboratory for Air Conditioners, CO₂  Compressor test Bench, Hydrocarbon refrigerant compressor Test Bench, Ground Source Heat Pump Test Bench, Small Solar Energy Air Conditioner Test Bench, Solar Energy ORC Power Generation Test Bench. There are also four sets of equipment for the measurement of the physical properties of refrigerant: gas chromatograph, hot disk thermal conductivity measuring instrument, differential scanning calorimeter and (high-speed photographic apparatus.

There are 24 members in this team: 6 professors, 4 associate professors, 13 lecturers, one assistant, and 2 lab technicians. Among them are members of the degree evaluation committee of the State Council, members of the Thousand Talents Program, members of the national Talents program, nationally outstanding scientists, and young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions.

（1）performance prediction and testing of environmental protection refrigerant

Research focuses: environment-friendly refrigerant, natural refrigerant, the screening techniques of mixed refrigerants, and the performance analysis and testing of thermodynamics and heat transfer.

（2）New techniques for Refrigeration and Cryogenics

Research focuses: Auto-Cascade Refrigeration Technology, Engine Waste Heat Refrigeration and Heat Pump, Stirling Cryogenic refrigeration technology, CO₂  natural refrigerant, CO₂ Trans-Critical Refrigeration Technology, Semi-conductor Refrigeration Technology, Refrigeration with the Addition of Nanoparticles and ionic liquid

（3）Key technologies of Refrigeration equipment for special purpose

Research focuses：Metro maglev refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment, Cryopreservation equipment for biological samples, cold chain logistics natural refrigeration CO₂ modular refrigeration equipment, military aircraft ground environment control equipment, and Space cryogenic refrigerator and equipment

(1)   Second prize of China machinery industry science and technology Awards: Sheng Jian, Hu Minghai, Zhou Zhigang, Xu Hua, Wu Zhaolin, Zhao aihua, Liu Jinlong, Lei Mingjing, etc. The project “Key technologies and equipment for the integrated support of aircraft’s ground air  conditioner power supply” was awarded the second prize of the 2017 scientific and technological progress by the China Machinery Industry Federation

(2)   Publishing 140 research papers, among which 25 are on the SCI magazines

(3)   Acquired 17 patents of invention and transferred 6 patented technologies

(4)   With a sum total of 100 million yuan, the team is conducting research on 6 such projects as of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Pujiang  Program, and 16 joint projects with enterprises
