A New Service Platform Unveiled

On the morning of December 28, the unveiling of Shanghai Cryobiomedical Technology Service Platform and the launching of China Outstanding Cryobiological Talents Training Fund were held at the School of Medical Instrument and Food Engineering.

Liu Baolin, Dean of the school, unveiled the platform with Sun Hua. Liu introduced the background, building process and future planning of the Cryobiomedical Technology Service Platform. It is urgent to build a high-quality biomedical sample bank for the national development of “precision medicine”. At present, the platform has excellent experimental equipment and a team dealing with scientific research is developing quickly. The whole platform will work together to promote the further development of cryobiomedical technology.

In order to increase the support for the talent-training in the field, Yinfeng Cryogenic Medical Science and Technology Co., Ltd. donated 300,000 yuan to USST to establish the “China Outstanding Cryobiological Talents Training Fund”. In his concluding speech, Sheng Chun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of USST, stressed that the school would give full support to and lay special emphasis on the discipline of biomedical engineering to enhance the construction of the platform and the operation of the fund. Meanwhile, he hoped that the cooperation with such companies in the industry would benefit the disciplines and the cultivation of talents, thus further promoting our construction of a high-level university.
