USST Holds Third Shanghai International Young Scholars Forum

On June 26th, the third Shanghai International Young Scholars Forum kicked off at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.
Sheng Chun, Vice President of USST, introduced the distinguished guests present at the opening ceremony and extended a warm welcome to the arrival of guests,specialists, and scholars. Jiang Ming, director of Shanghai Municipal Education Talent Exchange Center, addressed a speech. He pointed out that as the key discipline at USST, the discipline of Systems Science has made remarkable achievements. He hoped that circling around the international academic frontier, young scholars have discussions over hot issues of the discipline and promote interdisciplinary development and academic innovation. He hoped that through this forum, USST would attract more outstanding talents with high ambitions, strong sense of responsibilities and reliable abilities, contributing to the prosperity of Shanghai and China.
USST President Ding Xiaodong briefed the guests on the history of USST, the running situation and its personnel policy. He emphasized that USST will implement the strategy of enhancing university by talents, continue to boost the development of Systems Science and promote the interdisciplinary development. He sincerely invites outstanding young scholars to USST to pursue their dreams.

In the future days, USST will put all efforts into the building academic exchange platform, actively push ahead the multi-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary development, and enhance young scholars’ comprehension and recognition of research area about systems science when they exchange ideas and share thoughts.
