The Opening Ceremony of the Second "Academician Innovation Class" Held by OECE

At 10 o'clock in the morning of October 23, the opening ceremony of the new "Academician Innovation Class" was held. Zhuang Songlin, Gao Xiumin, Peng Yan, Yang Guisong, Hu Qi, Zhou Chunqiao, Yang Zan and others attended the opening ceremony. Vice President Yang Hui presided over the opening ceremony.

Academician Zhuang Songlin has paid great attention to the development and follow-up of the "Academician Innovation Class". During his speech, Academician Zhuang cordially shared with every student his learning attitude and experience in the school stage. He was kind to remind students to learn to endure hardship in their studies and have the spirit of delving into and exploring the subject. "The heart is loftier than the sky and the feet are down to earth" is the motto of Academician Zhuang and it is also the high hope that the academician expects of his students.

Vice President Yang Hui showed the outstanding achievements of the students of the first "Academician Innovation Class" at the ceremony, especially in terms of participating in the competition. 100% of the 64 students of the first academician class signed up to participate, and 39 students (61%) have won awards, of which 12 (19%) have won national awards. In addition, during the summer vacation this year, 8 students from the academician class were selected into the Nokia Bell Summer Internship Camp through layers of selection. After 2 months of internship and online exams, 4 of them passed the Nokia Bell 5G engineer certification, with a pass rate of 50%, far greater than the average pass rate of the enterprise is 30%. In the next step, they will form three teams to represent Noble Bell in the World Geek Challenge (Junction China) held in Chengdu. After learning and training in the academician class, the students have a very clear career plan. 59 students (92%) plan to go to graduate school, and 5 students (8%) plan to work after graduation. Professor Yang Zan and Vice President Yang Hui proposed the requirements of the "Academician Innovation Class" for students, and introduced the training plan in detail, including academician forum, literature retrieval and writing ability, programming and electronic design Training. The original intention of the "Academician Innovation Class" is to cultivate batches of high-quality new talents with innovative ideas, hands-on practical ability, and willingness to concentrate on research. By arranging introductory courses, obtaining grade certificates, participating in subject competitions and scientific research projects, each student who has the ability to learn is progressively cultivated.

At the opening ceremony, every professor introduced to the students their research directions, areas of expertise, and previous awards and outstanding project results. professors expressed their welcome to the students to join their team, and they are also willing to accept every student who has ideas. At the ceremony, the outstanding student representatives of the first "Academician Innovation Class" Wang Jiadong, Huang Min, and Ma Junjie showed to the students their own perceptions and experience and shared their ideas in scientific research competitions, internship experiences and thought growth changes during the year.
