Cooperation Framework Signed between USST and Baoshan District

On November 5th, the strategic cooperation framework was signed between USST and Baoshan District. USST Vice President Zhang Daofang presided over the ceremony.

Chen Jie, Secretary of CPC, Baoshan District Committee，expressed gratitude to the supports from USST. Chen pointed out that USST enjoys a high reputation as machanical talents base. Baoshan and USST share the same value and goal. Baoshan takes active part in national and Shanghai major project, build the high position for Shanghai Science Innovation Center. USST has ample experience in technological achievements transformation, industry-learning-research collaboration, which is of great value in technological transformation of Baoshan District and the construction of University Science Park. Chen Jie hoped that they could together deepen the all-round cooperation between the district and school, promote the integrated development of school, science park, street and community, making Baoshan become huge space and fertilizer for the future development of USST.

Wu Jianyong, Secretary of Party Committee of USST, gave thanks to Baoshan District for its role in the development of USST. Not only is USST located near Baoshan District, but also they have similar missions in various historical stages. With the development of national economy, both sides see its transformation. They could work together in many respects like Industrial orientation, disciplinary layout and service for the center of Shanghai Science Innovation Center. Wu Jianyong noted that USST should strengthen ties with Baoshan District, and work in unison to focus on industry-learning-research integration, technological achievements, talents cultivation, and all-calliber management service capabilities, contributing a lot to upgrading of Baoshan District, construction of Shanghai Science Innovation Center, high-quality integrated development of Yangtze River Delta, and carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.

At the signing ceremony, President Ding Xiaodong, Gao Yiyi, Deputy Secretary and Governor of Baoshan District signed the strategic cooperation framework on behalf of both sides.

The agreement requires that both sides should deepen the cooperation in Baoshan branch of USST National Science Park, innovation platform and cooperation project, and talents cultivation and so on to speed up high-level university construction, realize the goal of industrial transformation and upgrading, serving the development of China and Shanghai.

Before the meeting, the delegation led by Chen Jie and Gao Yiyi visited High-end Medical Equipment Innovation Center and school’s History Museum, listened to project reports from professionals, thoroughly feel historical and cultural richness of USST.
