USST’s Science Park Continues Rated “Excellent” in the National Performance Evaluation

On October 29th, the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC and the Ministry of Education of the PRC jointly issued the Notice on Releasing the National Performance Evaluation Results of University Science Parks (document issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC [2021] No. 293), and USST’s Science Park was again rated “Excellent” in the national performance evaluation.

Co-sponsored and co-invested by USST and Shanghai Yangpu District Government, USST’s National Science Park has always adhered to the overall development orientation of “science and technology engine of advanced manufacturing,” maintained the original mission of “taking advantage of USST’s features, serving industrial upgrading, promoting the transformation of scientific achievements, and pushing forward innovation and entrepreneurship.” Relying on USST’s sci-tech advantages and talents, USST’s National Science Park has firmly grasped the factors of government and market resources, enlarging its operation scale on 200,000 square meters;

it has also formed an industrial sector led by smart manufacturing, biomedicine and optoelectronic instruments, and a cluster of micro, small and middle-sized enterprises with science and technology innovation as the mainstay; what’s more, it has established a comprehensive service system and innovation system focusing on the comprehensive services of science and technology, cultivating and serving entrepreneurial enterprises and innovative talents for the whole life cycle of development of science and technology enterprises”, serving as a service platform connecting comprehensive science and technology service providers, builders of the ecological environment for enterprise growth and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

USST’s National Science Park has so far won such qualifications, titles and honors as National-level University Science Park, National Incubator for Sci-Tech Enterprises, Mass Innovation Space (put down in the records), National Public Service Demonstration Platform for Small and Medium Enterprises, National Internship Base for Science and Technology Entrepreneurship for University Students, Advanced Service Organization for the 20th Anniversary of the Implementation of National Science and Technology Plan (Torch Plan), National Demonstration Organization of Technology Transfer, Advanced Collective Pace Setter  of Shanghai Association for Science and Technology System, and Shanghai Model Unit.
