Announcement: USST Holds the Founding Meeting of New Academic Committee

On the morning of January 12, the new academic committee of USST was founded. The inaugural meeting was presided over by Vice President Liu Ping.
The Academic Committee is the highest academic institution of USST and responsible for decision-making, deliberation, evaluation and consultation on academic affairs. USST should give full play to the important role of the committee in academic development and evaluation as well as construction of discipline and study style. The committee should follow academic rules, respect academic freedom and academic equality, encourage academic innovation, promote academic development and talent training and improve academic quality. The committee should perform duties fairly, impartially and publicly and give full play to the main role of teaching staff, scientific research personnel and students in the management of teaching, research and academic affairs, and promote the scientific, sustainable and inclusive development of USST.
Academician Zhuang Songlin was elected as the director of the new academic committee of USST, Wu Jianyong, secretary of the USST party committee, and Ding Xiaodong, the president of USST, were elected as the deputy directors, and Liu Baolin, the dean of the research institute of USST, was elected as the secretary-general.
