Recently, faculty and students from School of Materials and Chemistry respectively won the silver prize of International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva 2022 and second place of 17th “Challenge Cup” National Undergraduate Curricular Academic Science and Technology Works Race.
In the 17th “Challenge Cup” National Race, supervised by Yue Xuezheng and Zhen Jinze, a team made up of Hu Yuyang, Cui Zhengbo, Gao Yu, won the second of “Challenge Cup”.
Not only does Yu Xuezheng develop students’ innovative spirits in science research, but also he keeps the research in mind and keeps developing scientific projects. “When we do the research, we focus much on the combination of science work and social demands, especially for society. Only by integrating national and social demands into personal study can we take the duty as scientific workers.” Yue said.
International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva 2022, jointed by some institutions such as World Intellectual Property Organization and Swiss Confederation, has already announced its awarding list. Yue won the silver prize by making innovative achievements “Topology optimized Peek in Immediate repairing mandibular defect by Selective Laser Sintering”, which achieves precision medical treatment by selective laser sintering and topology optimized peek after implanting poly-ether-ether-ketone in mandibular.
