Cooperation Agreement Signed between USST and FDEENT

On August 31th, the delegation led by President Ding Xiaodong, Vice President Liu Ping and some heads of departments and schools went to Eye & Ent Hospital of Fudan University (FDEENT) for the strategic cooperation agreement between USST and FDEENT.

Zhou Xingtao, Dean of FEDDENT, addressed a speech. Shanghai is marching towards the Asian Medical Center City. In the context of covid-10 response, there is more needs for the innovative medical development. He pointed out that sharing the deep origin, FEDDENT and USST have built cooperative foundation. Relying on medical-engineering interdisciplinary innovative research institute, he hope in the future the hospital and USST can strengthen their efforts to resolve clinical problems by leveraging the advantages of both sides and integrate scientific, clinical and industrial resources.

USST President Ding Xiaodong pointed out in his speech that well-grounded in engineering，USST has rich talents reserves, profound industrial history and multi-party resources. He means that the school has long engaged in the discipline construction and talents cultivation in the field of medical instrument. It has many national key laboratories, platforms and builds Shanghai high-end medical appliance innovation center. Based on the fine cooperation between the school and hospital, some fruitful achievements can be made in platform building, talents cultivation and clinical transfer, advancing industrial innovation in medical instrument and contributing a lot to the domestic substitution for high-end medical instrument.

During the meeting, witnessed by Ding Xiaodong and Zhou Xingtao, USST Vice President Liu Ping and Xu Gezhi, Deputy Dean of FEDDENT, signed the agreement. After the ceremony, they carried out deep talks.
