Founding Ceremony of First Committee of USST Association for Science and Technology Held

On April 6th, USST holds the founding ceremony of the first committee of School Association for Science and Technology and the first plenary meeting of representatives at Room 103 of Advanced Manufacturing Building.

Ding Xiaodong delivered a speech. With the goal of building the school into an outstanding university of distinctive features, USST has taken three international laboratories of engineering science as well as its featured platform of Systems Management as the carrier, to promote the construction of 6 first-class disciplines of Optical Engineering, Systems Science, Power Engineering and Thermo-physics, Mechanical Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering as well as Management Science and Engineering, and integrated advantages of all disciplines to build 1 interdisciplinary platform, rigorously advanced innovation of disciplines such as medical-engineering inter-discipline, artificial intelligence and intelligent manufacturing. By seizing the construction of the association as a chance, USST will further enhance the strength of scientific innovation, promote multidisciplinary crossing and leap-frog development, making new contributions to the strategy of “developing the country through science and technology, reinvigorating the country through talents and innovation-driven development.”

Members of the first committee of USST Association for Science and Technology were elected at the meeting. After being elected by USST Association for Science and Technology, Ding Xiaodong was appointed as the president of the association, Zhuang Songlin and Gu Min were appointed as the vice president of the association.
Afterwards Chen Xin from Shanghai Association for Science and Technology, Wu Xiaotong from Yangpu Association for Science and Technology, and Zhuang Songlin and Ding Xiaodong from USST Association for Science and Technology unveiled the nameplate of USST Association for Science and Technology.
