The Belt and Road Medical Device Innovation and Application Alliance (BRMDIA) co-hosted the 2023 International Science and Practice Conference in Kyrgyzstan

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the "the Belt and Road" initiative. On October 19, during the "2023 Shanghai International Biomedical Industry Week", representatives of more than 20 membership units from BRMDIA, including University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST), Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, United Imaging, China Resources Pharmaceutical Group Limited (CR Pharmaceutical), MicroPort, went to Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, to participate in the "2023 International Science and Practice Conference (ISPC)-- Central Asia & China High End Biomedical Exhibition".
ISPC was hosted by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan, and jointly hosted by the Kyrgyz International High School of Medicine(IHSM) and BRMDIA. This event was also the first time Shanghai International Biopharmaceutical Industry Week has been held overseas, with the aim to assisting Chinese pharmaceutical companies in conducting in-depth international cooperation and exchanges in Central Asia. Representatives from over 10 countries, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and India, also attended the meeting.
During the conference, representatives from USST, Shanghai Jiaotong University Medical College, Shanghai Biomedical Industry Promotion Center (SBIPC), Shanghai High End Medical Equipment Innovation Center (SHEMEIC), and BRMDIA held in-depth discussion on joint training of international students, clinical medical cooperation, innovation of medical devices, and signed multiple cooperation agreements with the representatives from Kyrgyz International High School of Medicine(IHSM) and its affiliated hospitals, Kyrgyz National University, Kazakhstan Caspian International Medical College and its affiliated hospital, Uzbekistan's Bukhara National Medical College and other institutions.
