Six USST Researchers Recognized as “Highly Cited Researchers 2023”

On November 15th, Clarivate Analytics released its 2023 list of “Highly Cited Researchers”, including 6849 “highly cited researchers” from more than 1300 research institutions of nearly 67 countries and regions. Altogether 6 USST researchers were recognized on the list, including 5 researchers from the team led by Academician Dou Shixue in Institute of Energy Materials Science. Academician Dou was selected into Chemistry and Materials Science List. Academician Liu Huakun was selected into Materials Science List. Bao Qiaoliang was selected into cross-discipline list, Zou Jin was selected into cross-discipline. Professor Liu Ning from School of Environment and Architecture was selected into cross-discipline. The number of USST researchers on the list ranked 46th in China’s universities.
It is reported that the number of China’s researchers on the list has been increasing, reaching 1275, with a 2nd global rank. Researchers on the list have published many highly-cited papers, whose cited frequency in Web of Science ranks top 1 % of the same discipline, reflecting significant academic influence of their peers. Over the past 5 years, the majority of Chinese researchers in global highly-cited researchers rises from 7.9% to 17.9%，reflecting the rebalance between high-level research and academic contributions advanced by globalization of science and technology.
