Cooperation Agreement Signed between USST and SARI

On March 1st, USST and Shanghai Advanced Research Institute Chinese Academy of Sciences (SARI) signed the cooperation framework agreement. Huang Zhengren, president of SARI, and vice president Tai Renzhong, Ding Xiaodong, president of USST, and vice president Sheng Chun were present at the signing ceremony.
At the meeting, president Ding extended a warm welcome to the delegation of USST. He pointed out that with solid engineering foundation, abundant talent reserves, profound industrial background, USST has carried out the multi-party cooperation. He expressed that in response to the integrated development strategy of science. education ad talents issued at the 20th National Congress of Communist Party of China, USST has long committed to the discipline construction and talent cultivation, with a number of national key laboratories and platforms. In the future, centering on the national strategy demands and the “3+6”high-end industrial system, both sides can make remarkable achievements in platform construction, engineering elite talent cultivation and scientific research, serving the national and regional development.
Vice president Tai Renzhong introduced the development of SARI in terms of its organizational structure, discipline construction, talent training, scientific research, etc. President Huang delivered a speech on behalf of SARI. He pointed out that a few research institutes of SARI had already established the foundation for successful cooperation with USST in the integration of science and education and collaborative education. He hoped that in the future, two sides would unite and complement each other, after giving play to their strengths, organically and efficiently integrate scientific research and talent training resources, strengthen cooperation in scientific research, engineering elite cultivation training, to further promote the coordinated development of both sides.
On behalf of both sides, witnessed by Ding and Huang, Sheng and Tai signed the agreement, and then carried out talks. Before the meeting, the delegation of SARI visited Shanghai High-end Medical Equipment Innovation Center, Nano-photonic Laboratory and Institute of Photonic Chips.
