Cooperation Agreement Signed between USST and Shanghai Jiao Tong University

On September 6th, the symposium and signing for cooperation and exchange between Shanghai Jiao Tong University and USST was held at the Minhang Campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Liu Li, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, warmly congratulated the two schools on the cooperation agreement. He pointed out that this cooperation is a vivid manifestation of Shanghai's adherence to joint efforts of higher education reform and development, and the coordinated and linked development between the university under the ministry and the university under Shanghai. He emphasized that the two universities should take optimizing the layout of disciplines as the guide and closely connect with the development needs of Shanghai; Focus on collaborative education driven by the integration of industry and education, aiming to improve the quality of higher education, to promote comprehensive reform as a breakthrough and continuously upgrade cooperation mechanisms.
Yang Zhenbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, warmly welcomed all the guests at the event and briefly introduced the development and school-running of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He pointed out that Shanghai Jiao Tong University has always resonated with the national development strategy and Shanghai's urban development, and worked hand in hand to make progress. He believes that this cooperation with USST will form a greater synergy and make greater contributions to China and Shanghai to achieve the high-level technological self-reliance and better serve socio-economic development.
Wang Lingyu, Secretary of the Party Committee of USST, introduced the school-running of USST and pointed out that the cooperation between the two universities is a vivid practice of implementing the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, as well as a specific measure of implementing the deployment of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government to deepen the comprehensive reform of higher education and promote high-quality development. USST and Shanghai Jiao Tong University are closely related in terms of geographic, social and academic connections. Guided by national strategic needs, both sides will adhere to planning at high starting point and promotion in high positioning, and carry out in-depth practical cooperation in discipline construction, talent cultivation, scientific and technological research, and exchange of cadres and talent teams to conduct beneficial pioneering explorations for the coordinated development of universities in Shanghai, and to make greater contributions to the deepening of comprehensive reform of higher education in Shanghai.
Two university leaders signed the cooperation agreement between Shanghai Jiao Tong University and USST.USST’s School of Energy and Power Engineering, College of Science and School of Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology signed a certain agreement with Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Mathematical Sciences and School of Physics and Astronomy.
