Dual-Carbon Cross-campus Micro-majors Established by USST and Shanghai Energy Efficiency Center

Inauguration Ceremony of cross-campus micro-major “Sustainable development and carbon neutrality” was held at Sep 22nd.
Headed by USST and Shanghai Energy Efficiency Center, cofounded by first-class enterprises in domestic carbon-neutral field, “Sustainable Development and carbon-neutrality” cross-school micro-major attracted undergraduates from 7 universities in the northeast of Shanghai to take part in it.  
In the first half year，the first 7 micro-major projects was launched, including linguistic intelligence, applied statistic and data science, photonic-electrical integrated circuit, which is related with scientific frontier. Nearly 200 micro-major students, covering all schools, have taken classes since the beginning of autumn semester.
The establishment of cross-campus micro majors is an important measure taken by USST to closely integrate the needs of Shanghai's socio-economic development and goals of talent cultivation, with innovative talent cultivation as the core and modern information technology as the support, and to cultivate high-quality compound talents with innovative spirit and practical ability.
Zhang Hua, vice director of USST and Qin Hongbo, deputy director of Shanghai Energy Efficiency Center together unveiled the plaque and held a certificate-awarding ceremony for the "Carbon Neutral Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology Industry College Industry-Education Integration Practice Base" in Shanghai.
