Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of USST, Vice President Sheng Chun led a delegation to visit relevant universities in France and Germany

From October 4 to 11, Prof. Sheng Chun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and vice president of USST, led a delegation to visit European Higher Business School (EHBS), Brest Business School (France), Munich Business School (Germany) and Technical University of Munich (TUM) in turn to carry out a series of in-depth exchanges and cooperation, and the members of the delegation included Zhao Laijun, Dean of the Business School, Liu Weiwei, Internationalization Faculty Assistant of the Business School, and Lu Zhi, a teacher of the Department of Information Management and Information System.
During the visit, the delegation successfully signed a Visiting Professor Employment Agreement with Prof. Zhou Wei, Director of the Department of Big Data and Business Analytics of the European Higher School of Business (EHSB), concluded an International Short-term Study Program Cooperation Agreement with Brest Business School in France, and held in-depth discussions with Munich Business School in Germany on the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to promote the cooperation between the two universities. In addition, the delegation also kindly sympathized with our students studying in Brest Business School in France and Technical University of Munich.
Visiting European Higher Business Schools and Awarding letter of appointment to Visiting Professor
The delegation arrived at EHBS at its first stop and was warmly welcomed by Marina Lecomte, Director of International Relations and Prof. Zhou Wei, Director of the Department of Big Data and Business Analytics. Sheng Chun and Marina Lecomte had an in-depth discussion on business education, student cultivation, and exchange of students and faculty, and formally presented Professor Zhou Wei with a letter of appointment as a visiting professor. The delegation also visited the campus facilities and had friendly exchanges with students and teachers on topics such as program quality, study and living costs and future development.

The second stop our delegation was invited to visit is the Brest Business School in France, and they were warmly hospitalized by the new President Zhang Gao, Vice President Luc PONTET and other leaders of the university. The visit was a return visit to the visit of Shen Dai, President of Brest Business School, and his delegation to USST on February 23 last year. The two sides reviewed the history of cooperation, held in-depth talks on the areas of cooperation, and successfully signed the “International Short-term Study Program Cooperation Agreement”. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the international accreditation and experience of business, and reached a preliminary agreement on the cooperation intention of “3+1” for undergraduate and “1+1” for postgraduate dual-degree joint programs in AACSB accredited majors. The delegation also visited the campus, investigated the situation of overseas school running, international student cultivation and course management, etc., and kindly sympathized with our students studying in Brest Business School, visited their dormitories and examined the living conditions.

The delegation was then invited to Munich Business School, where Stefan Baldi, the president, Hans Michael Rüdiger, Director of MBA, and Professor Stefan Strassner warmly hosted the delegation. During the meeting, the two sides had an in-depth exchange on the international accreditation and experience of business major, and reached a preliminary intention of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two schools. The delegation also visited the campus surroundings and infrastructure, and investigated the overseas operation, international student cultivation and program management of Munich Business School.

Finally, the delegation also visited the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and exchanged with the international students from USST in TUM. Accompanied by Peng Shu and other international students from USST,the delegation visited TUM's business school, library, faculty studios, laboratories and other facilities and places.

During this visit, USST successfully signed several agreements with Brest Business School and European Higher Business School in France, which received positive response and feedbacks from the French partnership institutions, further deepened the cooperative relationship between our university and the two European business schools, and at the same time strengthened the student and academic exchanges with TUM and Munich Business School in Germany. The visit laid a solid foundation for international joint cultivation in the field of business education and ushered in a new chapter in the internationalization of our university.
