Two Majors Approved by China Engineering Education Accreditation Association

Recently, the Notice on 2019 List of majors Approved by China Engineering Education Accreditation jointly issued by Higher Education Evaluation Center of the Ministry of Education, and the China Engineering Education Accreditation Association was released. USST’s two majors: Materials Science and Engineering, and Electronic Information Engineering have passed the Education Accreditation. The validity term is six years, that is, from January 2020 to December 2025.
Majors of Materials Science and Engineering, and Electronic Information Engineering have gone through procedures of self-assessment and auditing of professional accreditation commission. 2019 China Engineering Education Accreditation experts had on-site inspection, drew auditing conclusions and finished the final accreditation of these two majors. The major of Materials Science and Engineering passed the first accreditation in 2017 and was approved again.
To improve the quality of talents’ cultivation, our school vigorously pushes ahead the Engineering Education Accreditation work and promotes the internationalization of engineering education. Up to now, altogether 8 majors have officially passed China Engineering Education Accreditation and another 4 are to be verified by experts this year.
Next, USST will strengthen top-design, continuously implement the  “students-centered”, “production-oriented”, and “progressive” concepts, deepen  education and teaching reform, and bolster the overall improvement of teaching and education and the quality of talents’ cultivation advanced by the model role of accreditation.
