USST Scientific Achievements Put on 22th CIIE

On the premise of regular pandemic prevention and control, the 22th China International Industrial Exhibition was unveiled at National Exhibition and Convention Center on Sep 15th. With a theme “Intelligence & Interconnectivity fuel new industrial development”, the exhibition includes 9 professional halls, with participant enterprises exceeding 2000 units.

Closely connected with the theme of the exhibition, centering on high-level university construction, guided by the principle of “elevate social influence, serve high-level university construction”, USST exhibits key scientific achievements in pandemic prevention and control, and intelligent manufacture. Many original scientific achievements were also displayed at the exhibition, winning widespread applause and media attention.

“Automatic Detection System of Coronavirus and Virulent Pathogenic Virus” was led by academician Zhuang Songlin, Li Tongbao, Tan Jiubin and cooperated by Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine Ruijin Hospital. The system achieves automatic nuclein detection from sample input to detection output, relieve work pressure of medical staff, improve detection efficiency and meet P2+ standard of biological protection, greatly reducing the risk of medics infected by detection samples.
“Intelligent Station for Garbage” developed by the team led by Chen Long from School of Mechanical Engineering, made use of the most advanced mobile Internet, big data, Internet of things, computer clouding, to realize 36 functions such as dry & wet garbage classification, facial recognition, human machine interact, message, the weight and amount of recyclable garbage, automatic disposable bottles, automatic garbage squeeze, automatic collection of garbage data and can substitute for classification rubbish bin and solve problems of high costs, inconvenient and casual post.
High-performance Robot called “Xiao Bei” developed by Li Qingdu from institute of Intelligent Machinery, based on active plus passive walking theory, makes use of complex system model theory, multi-module cognitive ways, coupled with with virtual physics simulation and AI training for deep learning enhancement, finished by interdisciplinary and multinational cooperation. The robot can steadily walk in the complex environment, regardless of sensor and key components, with a much lower price.

Chlorine dioxide effervescent disinfection tablets developed by Zhang Shuping from College of Sciences can be used to disinfect vegetables, fruits, dishes, kitchen and the floor. Tablets are stable, and well preserved without poision left. The anti-virus wear can last three months, and be used in crowded places and to protect people from Formaldehyde in enclosed space and residence.
