USST Students Enter among Meritorious Winners of 2021 MCM

The results of the 2021 Mathematical Contest In Modeling/Interdisciplinary Contest In Modeling (MCM/ICM) were announced a few days ago. Under the guidance of Wang Dan, a teacher from Public Experimental Center, USST’s team composed of Jiang Jiayan, Zheng Shiqi and Gu Jiaming from “Science and Technology Innovation Workshop Modeling and Computing Team” became the Meritorious Winners (globally above 7%).

The MCM/ICM, co-sponsored by the American Natural Foundation Association and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, is an international authoritative competition in mathematical modeling.  Enjoying the reputation as ”Olympics Games” in mathematical modeling, it aims to encourage college students to clarify, analyze and solve  various practical problems.. The competition attracted 26,112 teams from 1,641 universities and schools in 22 countries, with more than 78,000 participants.

Competing with outstanding students from famous universities all over the world, USST students have achieved remarkable results, demonstrating innovative abilities of our school’s students and revolutionary achievements of our school over the past years.
