China has witnessed great changes. Even if the insignificant things happened in China, we can't take it lightly. Why ?
In 2020, China has become Germany's most important trading partner for 5 consecutive years. The trade volume between the two countries reached 212.1 billion Euros. Volkswagen Group sold approximately 5.3 million vehicles worldwide in 2020, of which 3.85 million vehicles were sold in China alone. In 2017, more than 1.5 million Chinese have visited Germany. Their expenses in Germany far exceeds other tourists.
In cooperation with the “University of Shanghai for Science and Technology” (USST) and with the support of “Germany Trade & Invest” (GTAI) and mayors from Winterberg, Hallenberg and Medebach organizes SinoGermanTrade.com (SGT) this bilingual online dialogue forum under the motto:
China and Sauerland in 2021: Understanding China, Seizing Opportunities
Isabel Wiedenroth, the founder of SGT, emphasized: “This event helps to showcase the diverse views of the Germans on China and to show a new perspective on German-Chinese regional cooperation. Therefore, we hope that German and Chinese representatives from the political, business and scientific circles will participate and express their valuable opinions. "

There are significant differences in the mutual perception of Germany and China: The Germans see China much more critically than the Chinese Germany. The Chinese like German cars, love German beers, value branded products “made in Germany” and admire the German world market leaders.
How do the entrepreneurs from the Sauerland think? Do they perceive China more positively than the general population? Do they see China as an important and indispensable partner, especially in the economic sector?
Representatives of the global companies from the Sauerland are cordially invited to take part!
