Recently, the paper titled “Optimizing the design of an intra-city metro logistics system based on a hub-and-spoke network model”, finished by professor Zhao Laijun and graduate student Zhou Jinpeng, was published in an internationally top journal Tunneling and Underground Space Technology.
The first unit of the paper was Business School from University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. The first author was professor Zhao Laijun, Zhou Jinpeng, a graduate student of class 2017. Fellow Li Huiyong from Shanghai Jiaotong University was the correspondent authors. The research developed a combined surface road and underground logistics system based on a city’s metro network. The results can be used to optimize the configuration of Shanghai’s MULS network and also provide a reference for other large cities that could benefit from constructing a MULS with a hub-and-spoke structure.
Published by Elsevier, Tunneling and Underground Space Technology appears in Q1 of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and ranks among top journals in the field of engineering technology. The impact factor of the journal was 5.915. According to the cityscore of 2020 in Elsevier, Building and Construction ranked top 5% in international journals about Building and Construction.
