The Delegation from FDEENT Paid A Visit to USST

On July 6th, Zhou Xingtao, Dean from Eye & Ent Hospital of Fudan University along with his delegation paid a visit to USST. USST President Ding Xiaodong warmly welcomed them. Zhuangsong, Academician from Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Dean of School of Optical-electrical and Computer Engineering, USST Vice President Liu Ping and other department heads were present at the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Liu Ping.

At the meeting, Ding extended warm greetings to the delegation from Eye & Ent Hospital of Fudan University(FDEENT). He mentioned that USST was an application-oriented university with profound engineering foundation. The medical-engineering inter-discipline has become a major pathway to explore interdisciplinary innovation development. He pointed out that the school and hospital can joined hands to explore a new pattern of cooperation, prioritize resource distribution, research and develop medical instrument and cultivate compound innovative talents. He hoped that USST and FDEENT can strengthen close cooperation and make innovations for medical instrument industry, contributing to the construction of Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Center.
Zhou Xingtao pointed out that the medical-engineering interdisciplinary innovation institute unveiled by FDEENT. Guided by the principle of evidence-based medicine, holistic integrative medicine and wise information technology of med, the institute will strive to be an incubator which is made up of Special Sense diagnosis, talents cultivation and Achievement Transformation. It is hoped that FDEENT can carry out deeper cooperation with USST for the innovative research &development and achievement transformation of medical instrument.
Afterwards Academician zhuang introduced the research achievements in visual optics made by USST. Vice President Liu Ping gave detailed information about USST’S hard work in discipline construction, cultivation and High-end medical appliance innovation center in the field of medical instrument.
