September 8th, 2022 marked a new beginning of USST’s incoming freshmen as they took their first step towards unveiling a new chapter this morning: Enrollment.
USST kept her arms stretched and open to over 2000 newcomers from all over the country this year, demonstrating the spirit of “ forge ahead, pursue excellence” among all USSTers.
With welcoming banners and signboards embellished at several school gates and different corners, the campus kicked off its 2022-2023 school year with the atmosphere infused with a fresh flow of excitement and collective vibe of cheers as faculty and student volunteers in brightly-colored vests gathering at different reception areas of the campus, to greet these new arrivals with sunny smiles. They patiently answered questions, provided directions, enthusiastically offered advice to new students and helped them with luggage hauling.
At the sports complex on Qinmian Road, incoming students got registered, familiared with each other, signed their names and posed for themselves to the hustle and bustle of the center. They shared their full expectations for upcoming USST life.
USST Secretary Wu Jianyong and President Ding Xiaodong, among other school leaders and faculty representatives extended their warm welcome and congratulations to the new faces.
Dear new USSters,
Your journey to USST has seen uncertainties and unpredictability in early summer. Today you are sailing for the fruition of your years of persistent fights at a larger stage.
Now let us，embraced with higher hopes and dreams, to forge ahead in the new semester with passionate and inspiring minds for gaining precious experience and countless knowledge inside and outside the campus，and share bright future days and grow into a member of excellent USSTers.
