New Pattern of Collaborative Education Built by BOC and USST

On September 21st, the launching ceremony of industry-education integration was held at USST-Business School. USST President Ding Xiaodong, and Zhang Shouchuan, Party Secretary and Bank of China Shanghai Branch attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.

Ding Xiaodong delivered a speech, He thought back to the period of cooperation between USST and BOC Shanghai Branch. In May of 2020, the school and bank signed the strategic cooperation agreement, established all-round cooperation in financial talents cultivation, scientific research, and construction of NSP and smart campus. Now, more than 200 students have been distributed in different positions of BOC. Seeing it as a new start, both sides will deepen cooperation and exchange system, continue to explore the connotation of collaboratively educating people by combining industry and education, contributing wisdom and strength to the internationally competitive financial system and local socio-economic development.

Zhang Shouchuan delivered a speech. Holding fast to assisting students to promote education as its duty, BOC hopes that “BOC Smart Valley” can be shaped as a station financially serving for students and teachers, a landmark for campus brand activities, a cradle for training financial talents and a platform to serve scientific achievements transfer to strengthen resource sharing, complementary advantages, and benefit industry and education. Depending on the overall edges of BOC, following closely the trend of the times, focusing on the party building, talents cultivating and industry-education-research integration, both sides can join hands to blaze a new way of the cooperation between Bank and school, bringing it to higher and deeper development.

At the ceremony, USST appointed Jiang Zhixiong, director of BOC-Yangpu Branch, Zhou Xiang, office director of BOC Shanghai Branch and Wang Mengying, GM of financial department BOC Shanghai Branch as the tutors for USST students majoring in finance. BOC-Yangpu Branch appointed Zhuo Yifan, Zhou Rufei and Yan Yongxin as student directors of the company.“BOC works for youth, who build dreams for future ”Simulated Securities Trading Competition, 2022 announced itself to the public.

Zhao Laijun, dean of Business School and Jiang Zhixiang, director of BOC Yangpu Branch signed the cooperation agreement between USST-Business School and BOC-Yangpu Branch. Both sides would promote the cooperation in such ways as program construction, teaching website construction, graduation design, disciplinary competition, faculty courses, directed students cultivation, internship and employment and out-of-school tutorial system, motivating the development of school’s students cultivation.
