The First Large-scale Spring Job Fair for Graduates of 2023 Held in Our University

The spring job fair for graduates of 2023 was held at the basketball court on March 2 and 3, during which over 400 enterprises were present and offered nearly 2,000 positions for our graduates. This job fair was the first job fair held by our university in the spring semester.
To promote the regional integration and make more jobs accessible to students, this on campus fair invited more than 200 enterprises from Yangpu District, Jing’an District, Baoshan District, Jiading District, Minhang District, Songjiang G60, Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, and  Shanghai Talent Service Center.
The fair offered positions in numerous industries, such as machinery manufacturing, electronics and communications, construction and real estate, Internet IT, energy and chemicals, financial services, bio-medicine. Present at the fair are such leading enterprises as Shanghai Electric Group, China Construction Eight, Geely Automobile and Shanghai Pharmaceutical. The job fair was attended by over 4,000 job seekers and visited by many undergraduates to learn more about the talent market. Interviewers from personnel departments said that they were impressed by performance of the USST students they have employed and hoped that they would recruit more excellent USST students during this fair.
USST leaders, as always, put great emphasis on graduate employment. President Ding Xiaodong, and Vice President Sheng Chun personally led the team to visit the enterprises and the job fair for many times to communicate with the employers and students in depth, thus knowing the requirement of enterprises, the quality of talent training and the mentality of students. The administrators from the colleges and the counselors of the graduation classes also took the initiative to strengthen the school-enterprise cooperation, help the students to find their jobs by all means.
Up to now, the school has held dozens of seminars, and industry-specific job fairs. Relevant administrative departments and colleges are boosting their efforts to deepen exchange with enterprise to explore more job opportunities for students.
