USST Faculty Members Won First Prize in Shanghai Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers

Recently, the awarding list of the 3rd Shanghai Teaching Innovation Contest was announced by Shanghai Education Commission. USST teachers won 1 first prize and 4 second prizes. Li Yilin from School of Environment and Architecture won the first prize in the course of new-engineering by teaching Intelligent Construction and Living Environment; Zhao Chunyan from School of Science won the second prize in the basic course by teaching Advanced Mathematics; Ding Zishan from School of Mechanical Engineering won the second prize in the moral education by teaching Thermal Engineering; Qu Lili from School of Foreign Languages won the second prize in the course of new humanities by teaching Comprehensive English and Zhu Xuanxuan from College of Communication and Art Design won the second prize in the course of new humanities by teaching A Case Study of China and Foreign classical advertisements.
The contest won high attention from the school, and supports from such departments as the department of faculty affairs, and undergraduate school. The Theme Training sessions, the intramural tryout were organized in November of 2022. After many rounds of preliminary contests, 8 teams were chosen into Shanghai Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers. Before the contest, the school invited many professionals to provide guidance for the refinement of teaching videos, reports and materials, fully preparing for Shanghai Teaching Contest.
The National Teaching Innovation Competition for College Teachers aims to promote the integration and innovative development of information technology and education, guide teachers to devote themselves to teaching and educating, create a symbolic display and exchange platform for teaching innovation for college teachers, and comprehensively promote the construction of moral educational courses and the construction of the courses for new engineering, new agriculture, new medicine, and new humanities.
