Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation Signed between USST and National Technical University of Athens

On November 28, USST signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation with the National Technical University of Athens online. National Technical University of Athens Rector Prof. Ioannis Chatjigeorgiou, former rector Prof. Andreas Boudouvis, Vice Rector Prof. Manos Varvarigos, Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Athanasios Zisis and other university representatives attended. Ding Xiaodong, USST President, and relevant personnel from the Research Institute, Graduate School, International Affairs Office, School of Energy and Power Engineering, and School of Optical-Electrical and Computer Engineering attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Vice President Cai Yonglian.
In his speech, Ding Xiaodong reviewed the positive progress in promoting international cooperation and exchanges between the two universities since the USST delegation visited National Technical University of Athens this June, and made a presentation on the talent cultivation and characteristic disciplines of USST. He said that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation is the first step of the cooperation between the two universities, and the two sides have many similar disciplines, such as energy power, mechanical engineering, optical-electronic information, etc., and in the future, they can carry out in-depth cooperation in the areas of joint scientific research, student exchange, summer school and etc., and welcome the faculty and students of the National Technical University of Athens to come to our university for exchanges and visits.
Rector Ioannis Chatjigeorgiou expressed his gratitude for the invitation of our university, and said that he was very honored to cooperate and exchange with USST, and that the signing of the cooperation agreement between the two universities would certainly promote closer cooperation between the two sides, and he expected that in the future, in-depth discussions could be carried out in the areas of scientific research cooperation, joint student cultivation, and so on.
During the meeting, the two universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation. The two sides had a positive thought on the future all-round development of internationalized talents cultivation. After the meeting, the leaders and representatives of both sides took a group remoted photo.
