Delegation from University of Sheffield and the University Consortium - NCUK visited SBC

On the afternoon of 12th March, Malcolm Butler, Vice-President and Director of Global Engagement of the University of Sheffield, and Stuart Smith, Chief Executive of the University Consortium - NCUK visited SBC, USST. CAI Yonglian, Vice President of USST and Dean of SBC met the guests in the meeting room of the Administration Building.
Vice President CAI Yonglian extended a warm welcome to Malcolm Butler from the University of Sheffield and Stuart Smith from NCUK. She reviewed the exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in recent years and fully affirmed the achievements of the long-term close cooperation. She said that the high-quality development of SBC cannot be achieved without the strong support of the University of Sheffield, the NCUK, and its partner universities. She also expressed her gratitude to them for their positive contributions to the College's international education. Recently, USST has proposed a three-year strategy for high-quality development, marking a new starting point for SBC. She looked forward to deeper cooperation with the University of Sheffield, the NCUK, and its partner universities in master's degree programmes, summer schools, faculty and student exchanges, scientific research, and other fields to further enhance the internationalisation and high-quality development of SBC.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the History Pavilion of Fuxing Campus. This evening, China Offer Holder Event/Information Session 2024 hosted by the University of Sheffield was held as scheduled in SBC Teaching Building. Two Sheffield lecturers, Professor Chu Xiaoli from Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering and Professor Yin Shuxing from the Management School respectively delivered lectures on academic planning for SBC students, effectively helping them further understand the University of Sheffield and encouraging them to choose to continue their education there.
