On the afternoon of March 22, Christian Guellering, the president of the School of Design Nantes Atlantique (L'École de design Nantes Atlantique), led his delegation to visit our university. Accompanied by relevant personnel from the International Affairs Office and the School of Publishing, President Ding Xiaodong met with the guests,.
On behalf of USST, Ding Xiaodong welcomed the visit of Guellering and his delegation. He said that USST attaches great importance to international cooperation and exchanges and has a very strong internationalization atmosphere, and expressed his gratitude to the School of Design Nantes Atlantique for its support to the university's talent cultivation in the past ten years or so. He pointed out that in 2023, under the recommendation of President Guellering, USST was honored to join the International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media (Cumulus), which has played a good role in promoting the professional development of the School of Publishing of USST and the introduction of high-quality achievements. He hoped that in the future both sides could explore and develop more diversified modes of art cooperation and exchange, further deepen the cooperation in scientific research and joint projects, and jointly promote the cultivation of future-oriented art and design talents.
Mr. Guellering expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality of USST. He said that the USST students have performed very well in France and hoped that more exchanges between Chinese and French students can be carried out. He invited USST to participate in the annual meeting of the International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media in 2024, so as to enhance the international influence of universities and promote the educational and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
After the meeting, Guellering went to the School of Publishing to meet the students and teachers.
