On the morning of April 12, Dr. Paitokne Dr. TariIlona, President of Eszterházy Károly University (EKU) of Hungary, Vice President Dr. Vaczy Kalman Zoltan and his party of six people visited our university, and President Ding Xiaodong met with the guests in the Conference Room 201, Yates Hall, met with the guests. Relevant personnel of Undergraduate School, Finance Department and International Affairs Office accompanied the meeting, which was presided over by Xu Lin, Deputy Director of International Affairs Office.
On behalf of the university, Dr. Ding Xiaodong expressed his warm welcome to the visit of EKU and introduced in detail USST's historical lineage, disciplinary characteristics, talent cultivation and international exchanges. He said that Hungary is the first European country to respond to China's "One Belt, One Road" initiative, and that China and Hungary have a long history and splendid culture, with friendly traditions and increasingly close humanistic exchanges between the two peoples. He hoped that our two universities will give full play to the respective advantages and carry out cooperation and exchanges in the areas of joint platforms, scientific research cooperation, and mutual visits of teachers and students, so as to promote the high-quality development of internationalized education of the two universities.
Dr. Paitokne Dr. TariIlona expressed her gratitude for the hospitality of USST, and briefly introduced the development history, faculty and departmental settings, subject advantages and other basic information of EKU. She proposed that the EKU attaches great importance to the cooperation with Chinese universities, and this year is the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Hungary, and very much hopes to establish a friendly relationship of cooperation with USST, and welcomes the faculty and students of EKU to visit EKU for exchanges and visits.
After the meeting, Dr. Paitokne Dr. TariIlona Ilona and her delegation visited Hujiang International Culture Park, Machine Intelligence Research Institute and the cafeteria.
