Strategic Cooperation Established between USST and Xinjiang Renmin Press

On April 17th, the strategic cooperation agreement signed between USST and Xinjiang Renmin Press (Xinjiang Minority Publishing Base).
USST and Xinjiang Renmin Press (Xinjiang Minority Publishing Base) will integrate resources, build “Belt & Road” communication base, and promote the research in publishing teaching and talent cultivation, minority publishing practice and theory，integrated development of publishing，and digital communication. Li Cuiling, editor-in-chief of Xinjiang Renmin Press, said that USST give full play to the features of a university of science and technology running press, dock publishing needs in the new era, with outstanding discipline advantages, and an excellent scientific platform. As an only comprehensive press, Xinjiang Renmin Press has rich resources in publishing of national languages and Xinjiang cultures, and hopes to strengthen the cooperation between the school and community for shared development. Wang Lingyu said that the cooperation and communication with Xinjiang Renmin Press have been major measure to give full play to its own professional advantages in publishing, thoroughly implement Xi Jinping's cultural thoughts, actively participate in the "Culture nurturing Xinjiang" project, train compound publishing talents, accelerate the integrated development of publishing industry, and contribute to minority publishing practice and theoretical research. USST is willing to join hands to bring the discipline advantages and graphic superiority for the “culture nurturing Xijiang”into full play.
Invited by the organizer, our school delegation also attended “4.23 World Book Day” and National Reading campaign organized by Xinjiang Renmin Press (Xinjiang Minority Publishing Base), titled "Smell the Scent of Books and Enjoy Reading  Xinjiang". Wang Lingyu was invited to give a keynote speech on the trends and strategies of intelligent reading. He said that the school has always actively leveraged its disciplinary advantages in digital publishing and communication, credible publishing and communication, and put efforts into serving the construction of a bookish society and a bookish China. With the continuous empowerment of a new round of technological revolution, the trend of digitalization, networking, and intelligence in reading has emerged, and intelligent reading, as a new form of reading, as well. He believes that the intelligence of reading is mainly reflected in methods, objects, and scenarios. In order to adapt to the social development, meet the needs of intelligent reading, and better promote the construction of a bookish society, he advocates that all walks of life should improve the digital literacy of publishing talents, enrich intelligent publishing products and services, improve the standard system of intelligent publishing and reading, and enhance the ability to meet the needs of learning and reading, in order to jointly promote the development of intelligent publishing and reading. The "Intelligent Evaluation and Confirmation System for Cultural Product Property Rights Value" as the 14th Five-Year Plan National Key R&D Project, led by USST, was officially released.
