USST Students Won First Prize in Final of CMC

The final of the 15th Chinese Mathematics Competition (CMC) was held at Shandong University from April 20th to 21st. Cui Yingze,a student from USST, won the national first prize for senior students in mathematics), and Hu Yang won the national second prize (non-professional mathematics).
The College of Science has always attached great importance to CMC. With the strong support of other related departments, the College of Science actively prepares, carefully organizes, and makes up an experienced guiding team, adhering to the principle of "promoting practice and learning through competitions", forming a three-level competition training system of "school competition, city competition, and national competition", to stimulating students' interest in learning mathematics, and comprehensively improve the quality of innovative talent training. The achievement of this excellent performance demonstrates the phased effectiveness of our school's high-quality development in talent cultivation.
The Chinese Mathematics Competition (CMC) is a national high-level academic competition aimed at undergraduate students, organized by the Chinese Mathematical Society, and has become one of the most influential academic competitions in China. The competition began in 2009 and then is held annually. As a national high-level academic competition for undergraduate students, CMC provides a stage for young students to showcase their mathematical capability and innovative thinking, and an important platform where they can discover and select outstanding mathematical talents.
