The Closing Ceremony of the 13th Taiwan Youth Study Camp and 2024 Youth Study Camp held in USST

On July 6, the closing ceremony of the 13th Taiwan Youth Study Camp and 2024 Youth Study Camp, co-organized by China Vocational Education Association (CVEA), Shanghai China Vocational Education Association (SCVEA), Hong Kong China Vocational Education Association (HKCVEA), Macao Foundation (MF), and Taiwan Outstanding Young Persons' Association (OYPA), was held in the Music Hall of USST. Mr. Hu Wei, Executive Deputy Director of SCVEA and Councilor of the Shanghai Municipal Government, Ms. Cai Yonglian, Vice President of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Ms. Hua Lili, Vice President of the Shanghai Youth College of Management, Mr. Wang Chao, Professor and Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Macau (UM), Qian Fei, Deputy Division Director of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Division of the United Front Work Department of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of CPC, Deputy Director-General of Overseas Friendship Association, and Mr. Zhu Huifeng, Deputy Director of the Center for Aesthetic Education of USST and Vice Dean of Hujiang College, USST. Mr. Liu Xudong, Director of the Office of CVEA, presided over the event.
At the closing ceremony, representatives of the four groups from Hong Kong and Macao went on stage one by one, and through video sharing, they vividly demonstrated what they had seen and heard, what they thought and felt, and the spirit of their teamwork from different perspectives during the study camp in Shanghai, and naturally showed their praise and love for the profound culture of their motherland. The Taiwanese campers did not participate in the closing ceremony because of their schedules. However, they still actively shared their wonderful moments and memories in Shanghai through the elaborate videos.
Afterwards, four guests, namely Hu Wei, Cai Yonglian, Hua Lili, and Wang Chao, presented commemorative certificates to the representatives of the four groups from Hong Kong and Macao, as well as eight volunteers from USST. The certificates not only recognized the students' cultural experience and hard work, but also gave them good wishes for their future study life.
In his speech at the closing ceremony, Hu Wei spoke highly of the significance and achievements of the study camp, and fully affirmed the active participation and outstanding performance of the students. The camp was not only a cultural exchange, but also a further understanding of our country, which promoted young students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan to be more closely linked together, and enhanced their friendship and expanded their horizons. He encouraged all young students to transform the harvest of the camp into practical actions, constantly pursue excellence, and make unremitting efforts to realize personal value and social progress. He also warmly welcomed and looked forward to students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan continuing study and work as well as starting business in this energetic and inclusive city of Shanghai in the future. Finally, Hu Wei expressed his sincere gratitude to all parties for their supports.
After the closing ceremony, students from Hong Kong and Macao also visited the History Museum of USST and experienced the traditional Chinese fitness program "Baduanjin" under the guidance of Mr. Xu Haipeng from the Physical Education Department of USST.
