From August 11th to 13th, under the guidance of Bachelor Management and Graduation Education of Ministry of Education, supported by the Chinese Institute of Electronics, the Chinese Society of Academic Degrees and Graduate Education, Juvenile Science Center, Chinese Association of Science and Technology, the national final of the 18th China Graduate Electronic Design Competition was held at Dongguan, Guangdong. Organized by Graduate Affairs Office, and School of Mechanical Engineering, all participant teams from USST won 2 first tech awards, 4 third tech awards; 1 second award (ARM China enterprise preposition), and 1 third award (SYNA enterprise preposition); 1 second award (business plan), 1 best paper award, 2 excellent guide teacher awards. USST won 8 consecutive national organization awards. The number of national first awards and the total number of awards both reach 1st in Shanghai universities.
The China Graduate Electronic Design Competition has been one of the series of innovative practice competitions for graduate students in China. It is a top-level electronic design competition for the graduate education. It was initiated by Tsinghua University in 1996. Since the beginning of this competition in March of 2023, a total of 6289 outstanding teams from graduate training universities (electronic information) and research institutes have been attracted to the competition. After the preliminary selection of the eight major national divisions, a total of 524 teams have entered the national final.
USST has long been committed to improving graduates’ innovation and practice abilities. Headed by Department of Graduate Education, and School of Mechanical Engineering, China Graduate Electronic Design Competition has become one of the most important series of platform competitions.
