USST Seven Professors Listed in 2022 “Most Cited Chinese Researchers”

On March 28th, 2023, Elsevier announced the list of “Most Cited Chinese Researchers 2022”. Seven professors from USST including Prof. Gu Min, Prof. Zhan Qiwen(Optical Engineering), Prof. Dou Binlin(Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics), Prof. Wei Guoliang(Control Science and Engineering), Prof. Ding Derui(Control Science and Engineering), Prof. Yu Dengguang(Mechanical Engineering), and Prof. Zhang Xiaodong (Environmental Science and Engineering) were listed.
This list uses Scopus, the world's authoritative citation and index database, as the statistical source of Chinese scholars' scientific research achievements, and adopts the method developed by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy to analyze the performance of Chinese scholars' scientific research achievements. This list has been the 9th release since its first release in 2015 and has received wide attention from the world’s academic communities.
"Most Cited Chinese Researchers 2022" includes 5,216 scholars from 504 universities, enterprises and research institutions, covering 84 first-level disciplines in 10 disciplines of the Ministry of Education. This time, the basic data extraction of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers used the further optimized and updated first-class discipline classification mapping of Elsevier Ministry of Education (covering 111 disciplines). This article-level mapping makes the data of Chinese scholars’exceptional contribution and performance in disciplines more intuitively, shows the academic research ecology in line with China’s discipline setting, describes the scientific research output of Chinese scholars, and provides effective help for further combing and analyzing the citation performance of scholars.
